Local BBQ VENDOR APPLICATION
Main Street Laurens’ 22nd Annual Squealin’ on the Square
October 4 & 5 2024
Applications are now being accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Committee reserves the right to final selection.
Multiple BBQ vendors will be permitted and may sell any meat, sides, combo plates. No sodas are allowed to be sold, only tea & lemonade.
**NOTE-Food vendors must present a certificate of insurance showing Main Street Laurens as an Additional Named Insured with your application.**

1. Date: Friday, Oct 4 and Saturday, October 5
2. Time: Friday 12pm–9pm and Saturday 11am–7pm
3. Location: Downtown Laurens – Courthouse Square (Hwy 76)

Friday, October 6 - 11:00am to 3:00pm
BBQ vendors are required to participate.
Required 2oz any meat per ballot holder. Suggestion to have a separate area with
warming pan for P.C.

BOOTH FEES:
10% of gross sales + participation in People's Choice
$100 Deposit before September 15

*Squealin’ on the Square is a fundraiser for Main Street Laurens.

A City of Laurens Business License is required ($20 fee included in this application fee). Form must be completed and returned to Main Street Laurens by Sept. 30.

Spaces are 20 feet x 20 feet (Due to construction on the square, you must set up in the 20 X 20 spaces. NO ADDITIONAL SPACE WILL BE AVAILABLE!)

Electrical power is provided only for those who request it. Extension cords will not be provided. Generators ARE NOT allowed.

BBQ VENDORS ARE ALLOWED TO SET-UP THURSDAY NIGHT! Food vendors may begin assembling areas by 8:00 am Friday and 7:30 am Saturday. Areas must be set up and all service/supply vehicles removed from the square by 11:00am Fri. and 8:30am Sat.

Canopies are welcomed and encouraged, but MUST NOT exceed booth space. Any shelters, tables or display racks provided by the vendor must be removed by the vendor no later than 10pm Sat. Vending area must be clean and clear of trash and debris.

DRINK SALES PERMITTED BUT ONLY FOR THE FOLLOWING: Tea & Lemonade. Main Street Laurens will sell all other drink products at 2 drink locations on opposite sides of the square. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Food Sales: As a bulk BBQ vendor, que-pons will no longer be used for food purchases, but cash and card only. You will keep 100% of the money.

Water and electrical hookups are available at no charge (no sewer). All contestants must adhere to all health (864/833-0000), electrical, fire and other codes applicable to this event (must provide fire extinguisher). No generators!

The steering committee reserves the right to deny any application at any time.

Cancellations after September 1, 2024 will result in forfeiture of entire space deposit.

Main Street Laurens carries NO insurance for vendors and WILL NOT be liable for loss or damage from any cause.

South Carolina Sales Tax is the responsibility of each vendor and should be collected and paid by that vendor. The South Carolina Department of Revenue will require a sales tax number if/when visiting the festival. Forms can be obtained either by calling the SC Department of Revenue or online at sctax.org.
Note: Food Vendors are allowed to sell tea and lemonade only.
